Bronwyn Rees - 'Through the Amber Glass'
Wednesday 4 - Sunday 22 November 2015
Over the past 15 years of creative practice, Bronwyn Rees has focused on making richly textured prints that express her particular vision of Australia’s landscapes and wilderness areas.
Throughout Through the Amber Glass, Bronwyn translates the visual qualities of place through etching and drypoint printmaking techniques. With meandering lines and expressive marks, the artist explores the emotional, psychological and spiritual experience of the natural world and her place within it.
Here, we find three printed images, torn down, merged, re-arranged, creating an element of confusion and displacement along with the odd and bizarre.
