'Since I was a child I have been drawn to the ocean. There’s a calmness that comes from spending time on or near the water that stimulates creativity… for me anyway. 

My work starts with an idea that I can’t always pinpoint the origin. I figure I’ll just let it take me like the oceans currents, and see where we finish up. 

These paintings explore the vastness of our oceans and the mystery of what lies beneath (80% of our oceans are unexplored). Although they are realistic in technique, there is also sometimes a mythical aspect to them which takes them to a slightly different place.'
