Anne Forwood - 'About the Beach'

 Wednesday 13 September - Sunday 1 October 2017

About the Beach is my response to one stretch of beach in Black Rock: the environment, both water and land, and the comings and goings of people and their dogs. Of particular interest is the contrast between the in-the-moment antics of the dogs against the eroding, five million year old sandstone cliffs.

These works were influenced by early 20th century artist Clarice Beckett who lived nearby and walked along and painted these cliffs and beaches.”
