Walhalla Winter is not the exhibition originally planned. Despite trying to work on a different theme, Julie Keating found herself constantly being drawn to the idea of painting and recording the landscape of Gellibrand Lower: specifically, the ever-changing beauty of the farm that on which she lives, Walhalla Park, belonging to her uncle, Antonius 'Tony' Van Duynhoven.

This exhibition is really a response to place - an ode to Walhalla, if you like. For nine years, Keating has regularly visited Tony at Walhalla Park and three years ago made the decision to move there at his generous invitation, to have more time and a fantastic dedicated studio space to work in.
