Kevin Foley

With more than 40 years of exhibiting history behind him along with a similar number of years as an art educator, Kevin Foley is regarded as one of Victoria’s pre-eminent printmakers.

Based in Central Victoria a couple of hours north west of Melbourne, his work captures the reality and raw beauty of the local landscape. The work is always literal in its depictions but behind its imagery and specific ties to his surrounds, Foley’s etchings convey something a little more abstract: the soul and energy of the Australian landscape and the lives lived upon it.

Kevin Foley was awarded the Curators Prize at the 2022 Editions Print Prize presented by Tacit Art.
