Merrian Dennis’ artworks reflect the thoughts, ideas and conversations echoed around the walls of the Australian kitchen.

Mundane domestic objects from within the kitchen are juxtaposed with quirky links to the outside world of the sheetmetal and foundry workers where hand beaten metal utensils and simple cast aluminium tools are made. Dennis looks to celebrate the movement, fancifulness and simplicity of everyday items as we hold, create and manipulate these wonderfully uncomplicated tools.
